STILT QUIZ

The frames are probably the most important thing to consider after picking out your spring.

The two most common choices are between aluminum and aluminum lithium. If you are concerned about reducing the weight of your stilts you probably want to go with aluminum lithium. On the other hand, pure aluminum can be charged higher and the extra weight might not make a difference. But, if you don't get them charged, and you want a pair that requires the least amount of exertion, the lithium version might be the way to go. (I can temporarily charge someone's stilts but if it goes though the mail without "do not irradiate" stickers" it won't carry the charge and the manufactures won't do this for me and take the time to do it. It does take minutes to hold a decent charge but I can't expect them to do that with every pair and make sure they are shipped right.

Some of the frames are balanced but might not be balanced for your type of bounce and weight and landings. While one person might get a smooth jump, your heel might sway side to side making your landings unbalanced giving blisters and not grounded.

Most of the companies make frames that you have to make sure they have high quality bolts to secure the frame. Newer companies now have stilts make of a single piece of aluminum which has more of a grounded feel.
...Because I had to buy 3 pairs until one fit.
